About Sadhana Yoga

Shanna began her yoga journey back in 2014. She quickly discovered a passion for yoga, meditation, and cultivating the balance between mind and body. In 2021 Shanna went on to receive her 200 hour YTT certification specializing in Hatha and Vinyasa yoga. In early 2022 she launched Sadhana Yoga. Shanna strives to create a safe space for her students as she guides them using movement and breath to release blocked energy and suppressed emotions in the body while creating space for deep relaxation.

Here are some commonly asked questions I've gotten from clients over the years...

Do you have to be flexible to do yoga?

Not at all! One of the reasons we practice yoga is to improve our flexibility and range of motion.

Can I hurt myself practicing yoga?

Yoga can be very healing and beneficial with the proper instruction. However, if there are any injuries or limitations, it is best to let the instructor know in advance. During my yoga sessions, I will offer different variations of the poses so you can get maximum benefit from each posture no matter where you are in your practice. Yoga is not getting into poses perfectly. Yoga is listening to and honoring how our body feels in that moment.

Who can experience the benefits of yoga?

Yoga is for everyone! No matter your age, body type, or level, anyone can experience the amazing benefits of having a regular yoga practice.

What are the benefits from keeping a regular practice?

Reducing stress! Stress is a major part of life today. Yoga trains our mind and body to find calm no matter where we are. With my personalized client programs, I will guide you through practices such as meditation, breathing, and yoga that are designed to help you harness your own healing power.

What kind of yoga do you offer?

I specialize in vinyasa yoga (movement with breath), yin yoga (restorative yoga), and chair yoga. Chair yoga classes are great for those with more limited mobility. I offer group yoga classes for those who want to enjoy the experience with others, and one-on-one sessions that are tailor-made to the client’s needs.

What are my personalized client programs?

My one-on-one weekly client programs are personalized based on your needs and goals from the comfort of your own home. During our session, I will guide you through some light breathing followed by a gentle yoga flow that is designed just for you. My first session is free of charge. What happens when I book my free session?

Awesome, you are booked on my calendar! Now what? You will receive an email confirming the time and a link to our meeting. Have an open space available so you have enough room to move about! Our first session is about 45 minutes where I will guide you through a gentle yoga flow. You will leave feeling relaxed and refreshed!
